Our survey topics are diverse and relevant, and sometimes just fun! There will always be an exciting topic that is thought-provoking and gets you impassioned. Whether it’s about improving local services, exploring your favourite brands, community initiatives, or highlighting environmental priorities, your opinion will influence decisions that impact daily life in your area.

And… you’ll earn rewards for participating (which converts to cash which can be drawn down when you have amounted at least £25.). As well as regular surveys you can take online or on your mobile, sometimes ask for people to take part in focus groups, interviews or even to test products.

Q1 Is there any cost or payment involved?: A
There is no cost to join, and although this is a voluntary role, our surveys offer small incentives or rewards as a thank-you for your time and input. Simply click the Sign Up button and fill out the form to register your details. So, the only 'cost' is your time to respond to surveys, and even then we will reward you with points which you can cash in when you have amounted at least £25.
Q2 What does being a panelist involve?: A
Being a member of What Cornwall Thinks means you’ll receive occasional surveys on topics that matter to Cornwall. You’ll share your opinions on subjects like local services, community projects, and entertainment. It’s voluntary and you can participate as often or little as you like. Your insights can help shape the future of Cornwall.
Q3 Do I have to complete every survey?: A
No, participation is completely voluntary. You’re free to respond to as many or as few surveys as you like. But the more you participate then the more rewards you will earn. And each response you provide helps make a difference!
Q4 How long do the surveys take to complete?: A
Most surveys take around 5–10 minutes to complete. We value your time and aim to keep surveys as concise as possible while gathering meaningful insights.
Q5 Can I leave the panel at any time?: A
Yes, you’re free to leave whenever you choose. Just let us know, and we’ll remove you from the What Cornwall Thinks panel. We appreciate your participation for as long as it works for you!
Q6 How will my feedback make a difference?: A
Local organisations, businesses, and public bodies rely on community insights to make decisions. By sharing your thoughts, you’re helping shape policies, products, and services that better reflect the needs of Cornwall’s residents.
Q7 Who's behind What Cornwall Thinks?: A
What Cornwall Thinks is a brand wholly owned and operated by PFA Research Ltd., which is an independent market research agency. We are not owned or controlled by any third party organisation or body. Whilst we will create our own surveys for topics that interest us and that we think might be of interest to others, we may also run surveys on behalf of other organisations, for which we will charge them a fee for doing so (and in turn we reward you for sharing your views).
Q8 Is my personal information secure?: A
Yes, protecting your data is a top priority for us. All personal information is securely stored and managed in compliance with data protection laws, including the UK GDPR. We never share your individual details with third parties without your permission. You can read more about this on our Privacy Policy.
Q9 Are my survey responses anonymous?: A
Absolutely. Your responses are completely anonymous. When we share feedback through our website, or with other organisations or the media, we only provide aggregated results to ensure that no individual responses can be identified.
Q10 Will you share my data with anyone else?: A
No, we do not share your personal data with third parties. Any information shared with local businesses or authorities is aggregated, meaning it reflects group trends rather than individual responses.
Q11 Can I delete my data if I leave the panel?: A
Yes, if you choose to leave What Cornwall Thinks, you can request that all your data be deleted from our system. We’re committed to upholding your right to privacy and data control. Further, you will be in control of your data: when you are a member, you can see all the data you have shared with us.
Q12 What if I have a question that isn't answered here?: A
